Kenny gets a feed

Here is Kenny at 124gms getting one of his 4 hourly feeds. Kenny is a Critically Endangered Species called a Woylie or also know as a Brush Tailed Bettong. He will be in care for about 4-5 months before he can be released. So expect some nice shots of him growing Up.

Meet Betty

Betty came in Saturday to the Refuge. Looking very sad and in a lot of pain a very sad possum she was.
Wellll some nice warm nights in one of the Refuge's heat box's, pain medication and lots of care here she is just 3 days later.
Betty is battling on and her recovery looks well on track.   

This is why we are having "Maroo Rocks" to help raise funds for the care, rehabilitation and release of injured wildlife.

Check this out when we were on our way to a release site for Harry [The Woylie] we came across this awesome event...
Blew the blooming trunk to pieces. Lightening strike at it's most awesomeness....
Bits of Bark and Tree Trunk were found 30m away...Oh and that's a Jarrah tree too. Hardwood...

Releasing a Bandicoot

We have had a female bandicoot in and has recovered from her injuries from being attacked by a cat. Luckily not too much damage done. And have a look at them nails....
and tonight she was ready for release so into a hollow log for safety a great soft release was accomplished..
