The Refuge now has a new reptile in care. This one being found about 2kms from the refuge on the side of the road. Looks like either Birds or something has been having a go at her tail. She is now in a heated environment and will keep you all posted on progress. She has Bobtail Flu too, poor thing, but is eating and recovering well.

And our Winner is....

Yes Marcus and Claire from Sheoak Ridge nature refuge have identified the visitor as a Phascogale [Brush-tailed Phascogale] or a Wambenger as some people call them.
and yes as they have advised "there's not much else around with a tail that fluffy".

Now how long does the male live for - an approximation would be ok.
More homework......
